When I put together a diptych, I initially am inspired by like compositions or like body language.
It is icing on the cake when the pairing makes some sort of ironic statement about the difference between farm life and suburban living.
It is good too when the coupling demonstrates universal similarities in the daily lives of the Cagwins and the Grabenhofers.
But most of the time, like in this case, the pairing says nothing more than- hey look, two married couples bending over.
